Como and Villa Olmo

A city full of surprises.

Discover the beauty of Como and its lake: the museums, monuments, parks, villas and everything that makes it so special.

Wander around the city’s distinctive historic centre, surrounded by mediaeval walls and lookout towers, where you can admire Como Cathedral, a stunning example of Late Gothic architecture.

Treat yourself to an ice cream on the lakeshore and enjoy a bit of dolce vita. If you have a bit of time on your hands, it's worth taking the funicular railway to Brunate, where you can visit the 29-metre-high Faro Voltiano lighthouse, for an unbeatable view over Lake Como and the Alps. Here you can discover other interesting tours.

Then you can immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of Villa Olmo and its park. Built in the late 18th century in a Neoclassical style, in its time the villa has been home to the marquis Odescalchi, the Raimondi family and the Viscounts of Modrone.
