On Wednesday 31 May 2023 the Terminal 2 at Malpensa Airport reopens.
With TILO you can therefore once again reach both Terminals 1 and 2 of Malpensa Airport.
The S50 TILO line connects Biasca, Bellinzona, Lugano, Varese and Malpensa via Mendrisio. Connections run every hour from 4.30 to 1.00 with stops at all regional traffic stations along the route.
Reaching Malpensa with TILO means saving on parking, avoiding any traffic and enjoying the journey by arriving right inside the airport.
Take care to board the correct train composition. In fact, from Biasca southbound, the S50 connections travel at the rear of the train, behind the S10 connections. In Mendrisio, the two trainsets are separated and the S10 continues to Como S. Giovanni, while the S50 continues its journey to Malpensa Airport. The numbers show how convenient it is to take the S50 line: the passengers travelling to Milan Malpensa Airport on the TILO connections has doubled compared to the same period last year (source: data from April 2023 vs. April 2022). That is an average of more than 2,000 passengers per day.
