From 14 December 2025 to 19 March 2026, on weekends and certain public holidays, an S10/S50 connection will be extended to Faido and Airolo. Winter sports enthusiasts will thus be able to travel comfortably between Lombardy, Sottoceneri and Upper Ticino for both their outward and return journeys.

From 14 December to 19 March, on Saturdays, Sundays and certain public holidays, the 6:13 S50 connection from Malpensa T2, which joins the 7:10 S10 connection from Como S. Giovanni in Mendrisio, will be extended to Faido (arr. 8:59) and Airolo (arr. 9:16). From Faido and Airolo there are bus connections to the slopes.

This provides a direct connection from the Province of Varese, Como and Sottoceneri to the ski areas of Leventina. In the afternoon, it is possible to return with the S10/S50 connection from Airolo (arr. 16:44) and Faido (arr. 17:01), which separates in Mendrisio, continuing as the S50 towards Varese and Malpensa and as the S10 towards Como S. Giovanni.

In addition, holders of a season ticket or day pass for the Airolo Valbianca ski lifts are entitled to second-class travel on all routes within the Arcobaleno fare network.
