On 18 and 19 May 2026 track work is planned on the section between Gallarate and Busto Arsizio, which will cause significant changes to the operation of S50 services.
On Monday 18 May 2026 from 10:25 to 13:25 S50 services are cancelled between Varese and Busto Arsizio. Passengers travelling towards Malpensa Airport take the S5 connections from Varese to Gallarate, and from there they use Trenord replacement services to Busto Arsizio. From Busto Arsizio S50 services run as normal.
On Tuesday 19 May 2026 from 10:25 to 13:25 S50 services are cancelled between Gallarate and Busto Arsizio. Passengers should use the replacement bus service from Gallarate to Busto Arsizio. From Busto Arsizio S50 services run as normal.
