The S10 line connects Biasca with Bellinzona, Lugano, Chiasso and Como via the Ceneri Base Tunnel with a few exceptions.

The trains operate in half-hourly intervals between 4.30 a.m. and 1 a.m. with a stop at all regional traffic stations. At peak traffic times, some journeys are extended to/from Airolo. From 6 a.m. to 12 a.m., all trains run through the Ceneri Base Tunnel.

The stops on the Ceneri mountain route are served by the S90 line.

For services running southwards from Biasca, the coaches of the S10 with a departure time of 25 minutes past the hour are located at the front of the composition before the S50 coaches. The train separates at Mendrisio. The S10 continues to Como S. Giovanni while the S50 runs to Malpensa airport. At Mendrisio, the S10 is coupled to the S50 running northwards from Como. Both lines operate as a single train composition up to Biasca.

It is recommended that all passengers check the travel times for the connection they require.
