Tickets valid for TILO trains

In Ticino

The Arcobaleno fare network is valid throughout the canton of Ticino. For journeys within this fare network, an Arcobaleno ticket must be purchased which is valid for the zones between the place of departure and arrival (inclusive). Therefore, you can travel freely within the selected zones on all public transport in the fare network.

The tickets can be bought at Arcobaleno ticket machines, at SBB ticket counters and ticket machines, at the sales counters of associated transport companies, via SBB Mobile and at sbb.ch.

Arcobaleno travelcards are available at SBB ticket counters and at sales counters of associated transport companies. They can be renewed at SBB ticket counters and at SBB ticket machines.

SBB tickets and SBB travelcards are also valid in Ticino. SBB tickets can be purchased at SBB ticket counters and ticket machines, via SBB Mobile and at sbb.ch.

In Lombardy

For journeys in Lombardy, Trenord tickets can be bought at ticket counters, ticket machines, at trenord.it and via the relevant app.

In Lombardy, the Io Viaggio multiple journey and monthly tickets and travelcards are also valid for use on public transport. “Io Viaggio” tickets and travelcards are available at Trenord ticket counters and machines, as well as at authorised points of sale.

Cross-border tickets

Sales channels and validity

With cross-border tickets and travelcards, you can use all modes of transports in Ticino and Lombardy that are part of the Arcobaleno fare network, as well as Trenord regional and suburban trains.

Cross-border tickets are available via the sales channels of the Arcobaleno fare network, SBB and Trenord.

Tickets issued within the Arcobaleno fare network are only sold in Swiss francs (CHF), and those for Trenord in euro (EUR) only.
