On 30-31 May 2026, there will be significant changes to the S50 Mendrisio-Malpensa Airport connections.

From 00:01 on Saturday 30 May until 04:00 on Monday 1 June 2026 all S50 services will run only as far as Gallarate, stopping in Italy at Cantello Gaggiolo, Arcisate, Induno Olona, Varese, Gazzada Schianno Morazzone, Castronno, Albizzate Solbiate Arno, Cavaria Oggiona Ierago and Gallarate.

Between Gallarate and Malpensa Airport passengers use RE51 connections. The online timetable is only partially updated. Please allow for longer journey times.

In Ticino, travellers with disabilities who require assistance boarding or alighting from trains within Swiss territory can announce their needs at least one hour before departure by calling the free number 0800 007 102 (from Switzerland) or +41 800 007 102 (from abroad). This service is available from 5:00 a.m. to midnight.

In Italy, travellers with disabilities are invited to communicate their needs, at least 48 hours before departure, on the dedicated number 800.210.955 (from Italy, active every day from 8.15 to 19.45).
