Important traffic changes to RE80, S10 and S40 connections between Chiasso, Como and Milano Centrale from 4 to 25 June 2026.

26.05.2026

The online timetable is only partially updated.
Please check the Trenord online timetable.

From 4 to 25 June infrastructure works will take place on the Chiasso–Milan line. This will lead to major changes to rail services along the route.

On 8, 9, 11, 12 and 15 June, from 09:00 to 12:00, RE80 services will be diverted via the Monte Olimpino 2 tunnel and the stops Como San Giovanni and Como Camerlata will be omitted.
Some S10 and S40 services during this time window will operate only on Swiss territory to/from Chiasso; passengers heading to Como San Giovanni and Como Camerlata use alternative connections.

On 5, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25 June, between 09:00 and 12:00 or between 10:00 and 13:00, RE80 services will be curtailed and will not run between Chiasso and Seregno. A replacement bus service is arranged by Trenord.

Passengers are also asked to pay attention to any changes to EuroCity services arriving from Zurich and/or Basel.

Please allow extra travel time and check your connection on trenord.it before departure.

In Ticino, travellers with disabilities who require assistance boarding or alighting from trains within Swiss territory can announce their needs at least one hour before departure by calling the free number 0800 007 102 (from Switzerland) or +41 800 007 102 (from abroad).
