For infrastructure enhancement work carried out by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, from 7 June to 5 July 2026 inclusive, TILO services S40 and S50 are cancelled between Stabio, Varese, Gallarate and Malpensa Airport.
 

A replacement bus service operates every 30 minutes between Stabio and Gallarate, calling at all stations, and hourly between Stabio and Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 with direct connections. Passengers for/to Terminal 2 should use the airport shuttle. Longer journey times are to be expected.

In Ticino, travellers with disabilities who require assistance boarding or alighting from trains within Swiss territory can announce their needs at least one hour before departure by calling the free number 0800 007 102 (from Switzerland) or +41 800 007 102 (from abroad). This service is available from 5:00 a.m. to midnight.

In Italy, travellers with disabilities are invited to communicate their needs, at least 48 hours before departure, on the dedicated number 800.210.955 (from Italy, active every day from 8.15 to 19.45).
