The new TILO regional traffic station in Minusio was opened on 5 December 2023. The station will be available to customers from the timetable change on 10 December 2023 and will be served by the TILO RE80 and S20 connections.
The new stop has two platforms, both 220 metres long, which allow the stop of TILO Flirt in double six-car compositions. Access to the platforms is guaranteed by five ramps, making the station easily accessible to everyone: people with reduced mobility, travellers with bulky luggage, families with pushchairs. There are also two Bike+Rail areas to facilitate the transport chain and modern toilet facilities.
The station is located in a densely populated area, but is also very interesting from a tourist point of view, as it is located in an area with a high recreational value, with its proximity to Lake Maggiore and the cycle/pedestrian path from Tenero to Locarno.
